This is Part 1 of a 3-part series on drawing characters from the Lord Of The Rings trilogy.
This tutorial will teach you how to draw Frodo Baggins the hero of Lord of the Rings trilogy!
Frodo of the Shire is one of the main protagonists of the Lord of the Rings series by J.R.R. Tolkien. In the Peter Jackson adaptation of the series he was played by Elijah word. He is the reluctant hero who must take the ring to Mount Doom in Mordor to be destroyed.
To begin, draw a stick figure of the character.
These are guidelines that will be erased as we continue forward. These just serve as the framework that we build our drawing on. They make our final character easier to create on the page.
Once we finish the guidelines we can begin putting down the final lines of our drawing.
Draw Frodo's hair and face. Frodo has curly hair which seems to be typical of most Hobbits in Middle Earth. Draw Frodo's hair a bit shaggy as it falls down his head.
Draw his eyes, ears, and mouth using the guidelines to place then in the right location.
Frodo's cape will be partly concealed by his body. Draw only the side that is wrapped around his body. The very top of the cap near his collar will be bunched up to show his hood falling behind his back.
Add Frodo's left arm and coat. His left arm will be stretched out to hold his sword.
Draw Frodo's jacket. Also draw the hem and buttons of his shirt.
Draw Frodo's sword. The sword is named sting and was a gift from his Uncle Bilbo Baggins.
Draw the right arm and hand. Drawing fingers can be difficult so take your time with this part.
Draw the other edge of Frodo's cap and his pants. His pants do not stretch down his ankles they will stop midway down his calf.
Time to draw the most distinctive part of Hobbits: their feet! Hobbits have disproportionately large feet and the tops of them are covered with hair. This gives them a very quirky and distinctive look.
To finish up erase any remaining guidelines left and clean up any stray lines.
Congratulations on finishing the How To Draw Frodo Baggins tutorial! If you drew with pencil you may now want to use black ink to finish your drawing. Color your drawing with your medium of choice.
